The United States has sanctioned six entities and two individuals from Iran, the UAE, and China for procuring key components for Iran’s UAV and ballistic missile programs. The State Department stated that this move is part of efforts to disrupt Qods Aviation Industries’ procurement of military equipment. It warned that Iran's weapons proliferation destabilizes the Middle East and beyond, with missiles and UAVs supplied to Russia and terrorist groups. The Treasury Department took action under Executive Order 13382, targeting proliferators of weapons of mass destruction.

Additionally, the US imposed visa restrictions on Chinese officials limiting access to Tibet for diplomats, journalists, and observers while enjoying unrestricted access to the US. Secretary of State Marco Rubio criticized China’s long-standing restrictions and reaffirmed the US commitment to reciprocal access. These measures, based on the Reciprocal Access to Tibet Act of 2018, aim to counter China’s restrictive policies and ensure greater transparency in Tibetan regions.
